You can never go wrong with the A-10 Warthog if you need support from the air and are fighting in a modern war. But back in WWII, you could never go wrong with versatile P-51 Mustang, arguably the best fighter plane of the time.
Recently the A-10 Demo Team repainted this A-10 in the color scheme of a P-51 Mustang, paying tribute to the old warbird. In this video, you can get a behind the scenes look at all the work that went in to make this happen. From the blueprints all the way to the painting. When you see the result, you might just think they should keep this color scheme permanently, it looks so good.
