With Big Toys Come Big Risks.

Let’s start off with the actual plane here. As a vast majority of our readers are American, this plane might not be something you’ve ever seen (sorry, don’t mean to misjudge.)

Called Antonov An-225 Myra, this is actually the largest plane in the world as of this writing. Yup, you read that right. THE largest plane in the world. To compare it to something we’re all familiar with, its wingspan is over 100 ft. wider than our beloved B-52s. It’s that big. There’s only one flying right now but negotiations are underway to build more. Its primary purpose is to airlift the Russian space shuttle Buran, which is why this Rc video features exactly that.

In the video, you’ll see a few brave souls fly a gigantic Rc version of the world’s biggest plane. Possibly the only one of its kind as well, they also decided to strap Buran on top for a mid-flight release to make it even more spectacular.

Things didn’t go as planned however and this fine piece of work could have ended up in a ball of fire. Check it out to see what happened.
