Cramped and Hectic Conditions

Seawolf-class submarines are nuclear-powered attack subs first commissioned in 1997. Inside these submarines are two “planesmen” who sit at the control station and use hand wheels to adjust the planes and rudder for vertical and horizontal movement.

These subs can launch torpedoes and Harpoon anti-ship missiles from their four 21-in tubes in the torpedo room compartment.

As seen in the video, the crewmembers participating in the drill are given repeating commands to ensure they understand correctly. These drills are done to guarantee that the sailors are ready when it comes to real-life scenarios. We also see the hectic conditions at the submarine galley as the cooks prepare the food for the other sailors.

With how ready and prepared these sailors are, it’s no wonder the US is among the best in naval warfare.
