The B-2 Spirit is one of the US Air Force’s most prized possession. Its exceptional abilities allow it to evade the most formidable enemy defenses and strike vital targets with pinpoint accuracy.

But of course, technologies found on this bomber don’t come cheap. The stealth bomber’s original unit cost was $737 million, making it the most expensive aircraft ever built. 

Though that may seem like a lot, the total cost actually ballooned to $2.1 billion in 1997 due to retrofitting and adjustments. 

Every hour this bird spends in the air costs roughly around $150,000. General upgrades are also carried out on each B-2 Spirit every seven years, totaling $60 million. 

Seems like freedom comes with a hefty price! At least it’ll be worth it in the end, right?
