Hard Luck.

So yeah, in case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past couple days you might have heard about some interesting sky art. A lot of people in the state of Washington that witnessed this “aerial masterpiece” thought it was funny. However, when it was discovered that the pilot was a member of the US Navy his superiors weren’t laughing so hard.

The culprit was an EA-18G Growler pilot operating out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The US Navy came forward to apologize for the incident and announced that they aren’t letting the pilot or his crew off the hook.

“We have grounded the aircrew and are conducting a thorough investigation – and we will hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”

– US Navy Spokesman

So the pilot might be feeling a bit limp after learning that he’s in a heap of trouble. It definitely will affect his ego since his whole career in aviation is about rising up. Then again you would have to be nuts to pull off a stunt like this in the first place.

Video of the now infamous sky art forming can be seen in the clip provided in the following link.
