How can an F-22 Raptor stop two jets without firing a single missile? Turns out, you don’t even need weapons – you just need to have the F-22!
Back in 2013, two Iranian F-4 Phantom fighter jets were trying to pursue an MQ-1 drone, whose top speed of 135 mph made it an easy target – or so they thought.
While the two F-4s were busy tracking the drone, an American F-22 Raptor was hunting them from behind.
As the F-4 tried to kill the drone, the F-22 quickly maneuvered just below the Phantom to see what missiles they had equipped.
Unimpressed by what he saw, the F-22 banked left and leveled with the Phantom.
From there, all the F-22 pilot had to say was:
“You oughta go home.”
And that’s all it took for the two shocked Iranian pilots to return to base.
