Two F-5E Tiger aircraft from the Swiss Air Force’s Patrouille Suisse collided with each other during training in the Baar, Zug area.
In the video below, we get to see the instant the collision happened. Four Tigers were flying in formation when the top F-5E suddenly dipped down and clipped the Tiger just below it.
Debris flew everywhere as a result, but both aircraft from ‘Patrouille Suisse’ still managed to land safely. The pilots were reported to be unharmed from the incident, but one person was slightly injured after the nose of an F-5 Tiger hit the facade of a house.
The Patrouille Suisse team has been flying the F-5 Tiger since 1995 and was preparing for its appearance at the Swiss Yodelling Festival in Zug. After the incident, the DDPS canceled their show at the festival.
