An Unbeatable Experience

Who would have thought a strategic airlifter could look as cool as this during a flyby?

These people were lucky enough to see the massive Antonov An-22 Mriya just before it landed.

The Mriya became the heaviest, largest, and most capable transport aircraft ever produced when it was built in 1985. Unfortunately, the plane was destroyed during the Battle of Antonov Airport last year. There have been reports of a planned rebuilding of the An-225, which includes cannibalizing an incomplete An-225 and salvaging the wreck of the first plane. The estimated cost of the rebuild is currently $500 million.

Scaled Composites’ Stratolaunch is currently the heaviest and widest aircraft today, with a length of 239 ft, a wingspan of 384 ft, and a max takeoff weight of 590 tons.
