A Life Of Service.

First off, we here at FrontlinTimes would like to say “congratulations” to Prince William and Catherine Middleton who just welcomed another baby boy into their family. They have yet to release the newborn’s name, but more on that later.

Although the current hype is about their family, we’d like to remind everyone that William (and his brother Harry as well) have served in the Royal Air Force for some time. Will did so from 2006 to 2013 as a pilot at one time working full time with the RAF Search and Rescue Force.

Prince William spent a total of 6 years in the Royal Air Force.

Before his military retirement, however, he qualified to be the pilot in command of an SH-3 Sea King helicopter of which we found a video below. This happened during his visit to Canada where he performed a water landing to showcase what to do in case of an emergency, something a search and rescue pilot should master.

After his military pilot career came to an end, Prince William continued to fly, this time as an air ambulance pilot for which he needed extra training despite his military experience. A job that paid 40,000 British Pounds, William, of course, forewent getting paid and donated it to the Air Ambulance charity.

He was forced to stop flying in 2017 and had to perform royal duties as the Queen required.
