Even Hiding In The Woods, These Guys Had No Chance.

With today’s video technology, we get to experience many things we’d never do from a first person perspective. In this case, a soldier was wearing an HD camera in the middle of a firefight.

That in itself is already more than most can handle. With bullets flying around the team, someone yells out, “air support is coming.’ In the next clip you literally hear trees being cut down by the A-10’s 30mm rounds, followed by the familiar ‘brrrrrt.’ This happens 10 times in this video!

When in a tight spot, ground forces love nothing more than to see the Hog in the sky.

We’ve all seen videos of the A-10 doing what it does best, but this viewpoint is really rare. It puts you right there on the ground with the troops and really drives home the importance and effectiveness of what these war machines can do. How many lives did those strafing runs save we’ll never know, but not exposing these guys to enemy fire was definitely a better option.
