Joe Draeger bought a Douglas DC-3 cargo plane for $10,000 and spent another $50,000 for renovation, transportation, and even stilts to prop up the plane.

The DC-3, which has a “LADY LUCK” nose art, was used by the Marine Corps for military transport between Guam, Midway, and Pearl Harbor during WWII.

Nowadays, this aircraft has been outfitted with air conditioning, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, an outdoor deck with a grilling area, and a campfire pit. Oh, and it’s situated alongside a private lake!
