Small yet powerful ships

Tugboats are an important asset to the movement of supplies and goods.

Since large boats usually struggle to maneuver at slow speeds, tugboats, and their powerful engines are used to push, pull, or tow these ships around ports, narrow canals, and straits. That’s why tugboats today are designed to specifically produce large amounts of power and torque.

To keep one in the best shape possible, a daily engine inspection and maintenance are done by its crews. Moreover, the crews typically work very long hours due to how busy the ports get.

However, the quarters are usually small, with provisions consisting mostly of water, food, and basic medical supplies. Not to mention, the space on the deck is limited too.

During their free time, its members can spend periods in small lounges where they can watch TV and unwind. It’s not as bad as you think!
