Amazing Restoration

Restoration videos are always satisfying to watch, this one’s no exception. There’s something magical about finding a treasure and restoring it. But the great thing about this clip is that the MG 34 machine gun was then donated to a museum in the Netherlands. In a way, he’s helping preserve history.

The Maschinengewehr 34 or MG 34 is widely considered as the first general-purpose machine gun. Designed in 1934 by Heinrich Vollmer, the MG 34 was the most advanced machine gun when it entered service in 1935. Its versatility, exceptional mobility, and high rate of fire made it an instant favorite among the German soldiers. In 1942, it was replaced by the MG 42.
