If the plane wants to land, then almost nothing will stop it. This crazy crash landing of a trainer aircraft was caught on a dashcam nearly a year ago.
The pilot was operating a Grumman American AA-1 when he accidentally clipped a powerline, causing him to crash nose-down onto Cobb Parkway, Georgia.
According to reports, the cause of the incident was engine failure. The pilot had already reported engine problems after departing from Cobb County International Airport and landed about a half-mile from the airport.
Miraculously, the young pilot managed to get himself out of the aircraft and drove himself to the hospital afterward. Aside from the pilot’s minor leg injury, no other injuries were reported stemming from the accident. Considering how many people were on the highway, this was a lucky break.
