The Australian Defence Force participated in celebrating Australia Day 2022 in New South Wales, Australia. As part of the event, an RAAF F-35A Lightning II from RAAF Base Williamtown performed an aerial routine over the Sydney Harbour.
The whole thing took place in the afternoon and included several low-altitude aerial maneuvers that wowed the crowd on the ground. It’s even surprising how loud it can get from that “far” away!
According to the ADC, this mini airshow was part of the “Salute to Australia,” a show that incorporates the Australian Army, Navy, and Air Force into a routine.
For those who want to catch this next year, it looks like Milsons Point, Hickson Road Reserve, Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair are all future handling display vantage points.
