The Mk44 Bushmaster II has proven performance as a chain gun. Because of this, the Bushmaster is the gun system of choice for some North American and European armored vehicles.

It can fire all types of 30x173mm ammunition from HEIs(High Explosive Incendiary) to APFSDS-Ts (Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot-Tracer). It’s even capable of being converted to using the SuperShot 40mm cartridge by changing the barrel and some of its parts.

There are about ten 30mm ammunition variants that this can use. It is such a treat to watch the rounds in slow motion. Seeing it glide slowly makes you appreciate how relatively big those ammunitions are.
