There’s a reason why the A-10 Warthog has earned the admiration and respect of pretty much anyone who knows their aircraft. It’s a badass plane that has proven over and over again that it’s unrivaled and unmatched. It can fly for long periods and has the legendary GAU-8 Avenger 30mm gatling gun mounted on its nose which could easily shred tanks. More than that, it’s tough, effective, and undoubtedly reliable. It could take a lot of hits and still continue flying.

In 2020, news broke that the US Air Force wanted to retire 44 A-10 Warthogs. But apparently, their replacement strategy might simply be upgrading the A-10 Warthog.
