You can never go wrong with the A-10 Warthog if you need support from the air and are fighting in a modern war. But back in WWII, you could never go wrong with its grandfather, the versatile P-47 Thunderbolt, arguably the toughest fighter of the time. This particular Warthog was painted by the Indiana Air National Guard’s 122nd Wing in celebration for 100 years of aviation.
You can see an awesome time-lapse of the paint job in the video at the bottom. It just looks so cool in the black color scheme. You can also see the “Blacksnake” nose-art, which makes it look even more awesome.
