It’s hard to know for sure what the C-5 crew was trying to do in this scenario. Do the adjustments as it descends mean it was angling for a landing? Or was all of this just for a touch-and-go?

Whatever the real answer is, those people on the ground had a great time – that’s for sure. After all, it is quite rare to see a massive aircraft like the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy. An airplane that has a 222-ft wingspan and 247 ft of length is something to behold as it flies over you. The sound of its engines must have been louder than it sounds in the video too.
