Airplane Splits In Half- Airport Forced To Shut Down

Breaking news comes out of Costa Rica as a DHL plane lands and splits in half after hitting the runway. Some reports are saying that the pilot was forced to make that turn to avoid heading to the highway and that there was a mayday call beforehand. A possible reason is perhaps the weight of the cargo that could have been a factor in having trouble slowing down.

It is not clear exactly what happened just yet, as many more reports are coming out, but for now that is all we know. No word on any casualties or injuries just yet. However any landing you can walk away from, is a good landing.
