Not Sure If They’re Sad Or Happy Tears.

Cayleigh Hinton, the little princess you’ll see in the video below, lost her father last May in a military training accident. Her father told her he’ll take her to a dance like this one someday, but never got the chance.

Hearing of this, First Sergeant Joseph Bierbrodt of the Illinois Army National Guard stepped up and asked the 5-year-old to the dance. It was much more spectacular than just that, however.

“It wasn’t even really a choice for me. I view it as an honor to be able to do this for her.” – First Sergeant Joseph Bierbrodt | Army National Guard

The community got together arranging a limo to pick up little Cayleigh and take her to the dance. To make the event even more special, she was escorted by the police, firefighters and the Patriot Guard who all paid homage to her late father.

As you can imagine, the whole event took the Chicago area by storm and was covered by many News organizations. Now, it’s all over social media with many heartwarming messages to all our military members both active and back home.
