Best of the Best

There’s a reason why US snipers are the best in the business. Through countless hours of training, these snipers have had a lot of time to hone their craft.

US Marine Corps Scout Snipers have to go through a Scout Sniper Course that lasts eight weeks. The course – and by extension, the Marines – understandably have very high standards. By the end of the week, only 44% of these men are able to graduate.

The Marine Corps is basically the “maritime land force” of the Navy so sea-based training is always their preferred method. Their training missions are sometimes performed in moving helicopters flying over the ocean. Snipers aboard are then tasked to shoot down a remote-controlled boat for target practice. With how taxing their training is, no wonder these men are respected worldwide.
