A 101st Airborne MRAP turret gunner survived a headshot by an enemy sniper. After getting hit, he’s immediately assessed for injuries and for a few seconds, we get to see the round that hit his helmet. One of his buddies tells him, “You’re helmet saved you man.” And we couldn’t agree more – helmets have saved countless lives.

The gunner was pretty dazed and disoriented following that near-death experience but he survived. Not long after that terrifying moment, a replacement gunner immediately got back up and fired the machine gun. That takes a lot of balls especially considering what just happened to his buddy.
